Here at Eastanallee, Dear To Us (DTU) has been the “slogan” or “Banner” for church wide endeavors to advance the gospel both locally and globally for a couple of years now. Some DTU:initiatives we have had to date are: DTU:Etowah, DTU:WashingtonDC, DTU:PuertoRico, & DTU:Nicaragua. As we move into 2020, be on the lookout for opportunities, both locally and globally, to join Eastanallee in advancing the Gospel of God to people who do not have Jesus.

Why Dear To Us?

Just to remind us all about the heartbeat of a DTU endeavor, we simply need to revisit how things went down when the gospel first came to Thessalonica. Check out part of 1 Thessalonians 2 and notice how the Bible describes the reputation of a team of disciples of Jesus who were seeking to advance the gospel in a community they were investing their lives:

“For you yourselves know, brothers, that our coming to you was not in vain. But though we had already suffered and been shamefully treated at Philippi, as you know, we had boldness in our God to declare to you the gospel of Godin the midst of much conflict. For our appeal does not spring from error or impurity or any attempt to deceive, but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speaknot to please man, but to please Godwho tests our hearts. For we never came with words of flattery, as you know, nor with a pretext for greed—God is witness. Nor did we seek glory from people, whether from you or from others, though we could have made demands as apostles of Christ. But we were gentleamong you, like a nursing mother taking care of her own children.

So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very DEAR TO US.

For you remember, brothers, our labor and toil: we workednight and day, that we might not be a burdento any of you, while we proclaimed to you the gospel of God. You are witnesses, and God also, how holy and righteous and blameless was our conducttoward you believers. For you know how, like a father with his children, we exhorted each one of youand encouraged youand charged youto walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.

An at Home Missional Experience for the Entire Eastanallee Family

(All Generations and All Campuses)

For the past two years, Eastanallee has pursued a week of missional living in Etowah, DTU:Etowah. Both of these weeks have proved to be fruitful, having salvations and even growth in our Etowah-Campus. I am praying for God to do more of the same this year as we expand the territory to include parts of Riceville, Athens, Area Schools, and McMinn County Neighborhoods! For this to happen we need you, your family, and your Sunday School Class.  May Eastanallee always remember:

The Gospel came to you because it is going to someone else!

So what are we going to do and how do I get signed up??

Here are just a few opportunities for DAILY SERVE TEAM (7am-Dinner) participants: roofing, painting houses, building wheelchair ramps, prayer walking, canvassing to promote the Etowah-Campus, throwing the biggest block party Etowah has ever seen...just to name a few. We will be partnering with Ocoee Outreach (www.ocoeeoutreach.org) & Mount Moriah Baptist Church Student Ministry, NC.

Specific Needs:

2 Equipment/Supply Runners- Need a truck and available between 8am-4:30pm.
