Puerto Rico Mission Trip March 9-15

CrossNet Baptist Network has mobilized more than 180 Volunteers on 18 DR mission trips to Puerto Rico since Hurricane Maria hit. We have been working through a church in Guayama, PR to help their community recovery and rebuild. Now our efforts are focused on helping the “Church Without Walls” in Guayama repair their Church Sanctuary so they can have a “Grand Re-opening of their Sanctuary on Easter Sunday”. They have been without use of their sanctuary since Hurricane Maria hit 15 months ago.

Here are the details of the trip:

Tentative Team Leader is Stan Gibson (Candies Creek)

$50 deposit due on Jan. 28, remaining payment due by Feb. 4

Cost for each trip will be $325 and will include Travel Insurance and on the ground expenses *Any remaining forms need to be received at the Feb. 19 orientation mtg. (make checks out to CrossNet Baptist Network - you will need to cover meals on travel days).

Lodging at the “Church Without Walls” – meals, showers, linen, towels, air-mattresses are all provided at the church

There will be an important orientation mtg. Tuesday, February 19 from 6:30pm.-8pm. at CrossNet Baptist Network (please plan on attending)

We will need each of you to complete the following forms; Medical Form, Release Form & Covenant are attached – bring these to the orientation mtg. on Feb. 19 and any remaining payment (if you haven’t already turned these into us). Each team member will need to obtain a recommendation from your Pastor to participate on the trip. There is a place for your Pastor to sign on the attached Covenant. *PLEASE NOTE – if you’ve already been on a CrossNet Puerto Trip this past year, all we need is the release form and medical form to be completed again.

We will be assisting Pastor Tito and his church, which translates in English as “The Church Without Walls” to repair their Sanctuary that was damaged from Hurricane Maria.  Projects could include ceiling work, demo work, cleaning, painting, hanging lights, installing carpet, evangelism in the community and more.  Mike Hinkle will be the Construction Coordinator for all 4 weeks (thank you Mike).
